The Jones Live Map Meter, c. 1915
Dubbed “phonographs of the road,” these small paper discs were printed with different routes calculated by The Touring Club of America and attached to a car's odometer. Drivers simply attached the desired disc to a turntable with the starting point aligned with an arrow.
